shop updates & day dresses

Betty Cox etsy shop is now stocked with bloomers, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday dresses, the Hyacinth shirt and the Dorothy skirt.

The day dresses set: 7 simple yet characterful shift dresses based on a 1960s pattern, one for each day of the week.

The Sunday dress: number 1 in a 7 day set. Sunday's dress is a gentle floral mix of blues, greys and olive greens. The bodice is fully lined in a turquoise lining, with a full skirt gathered at the waist. To be worn lying on a blanket on a late Sunday afternoon, or when returning from weekend travels from afar.
The Monday dress: number 1 in a 7 day set. Monday's dress is an eye catching 60s style geometric pansy print of burgundies, pastel yellow, blues, greens and lilacs. The bodice is fully lined in a burgundy lining, with a full skirt gathered at the waist. To be worn munching an apple from the market stand on your way to work.
The Tuesday dress: number 3 in a 7 day set. Tuesday's dress is a sugary floral palette of fuschia pink, dusty pinks and pale blues. The bodice is fully lined in two different shades of pink lining, with a full skirt gathered at the waist. To be worn with an armful of fresh flowers walking back to work on a lunch break.

The Dorothy Skirt: high waisted pencil skirt with pockets. Great with braces, cropped top or tucked in shirt. Really tight fitting on the waist to give a 40s style wasp shape. Small zip at the back with two fabric covered buttons. All handmade in pale blue gingham.
Bright and beautiful, this Hyacinth shirt has a peter pan collar with small ruffles, separate neck tie, ruffled tight fitting cuffs and handmade buttons. To be worn buttoned to the top while drinking tea out of bone china, or tied halfway up with shorts for a retro beach romp.
